Privacy Policy — Max Control Tuner

Application: Max Control Tuner

Package name: com.maxcontrol.tuner

Publisher: Max Control

Platform: Android

Effective date: 2026-08-12

Applies to: All published versions

1.Scope

This policy governs the Android application identified above. It states the data the application accesses, the data it writes to the device, and the data it transmits. It covers no other product.

2.Data collection

The application collects no data.

No personal data, account data, device or advertising identifiers, usage statistics, diagnostics, or crash reports are gathered, derived, or retained for any purpose.

3.Network transmission

The application transmits no data. It does not declare android.permission.INTERNET and therefore cannot open a network connection under the Android permission model.

This is externally verifiable: the application's permission list in Android system settings shows no network permission, and the manifest of the published package contains no INTERNET entry.

4.Permissions

Permission Purpose Processing Retention
android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO Pitch detection Microphone samples analysed in memory on the device while a tuning screen is in the foreground. The microphone is released when the application enters the background. None. No audio is written to storage or transmitted.
android.permission.CAMERA Decoding tuning QR codes Camera frames analysed in memory on the device while the scan screen is open. None. No image is written to storage or transmitted.
android.permission.INTERNET Not declared Not applicable Not applicable

Both runtime permissions are requested at the point of use and may be declined or revoked in Android system settings. Declining a permission disables only the corresponding function.

5.Local storage

The application writes the following to its private application storage.

Item Contents
Preferences Reference pitch (A4, 415–466 Hz), selected tuning, selected string
Tuning files (.sweetener) Files the user imports or authors: string notes, cent offsets, and name and author fields of up to 31 characters each

Stored data remains on the device and is not transmitted. It is deleted when the user uninstalls the application or clears its data through Android system settings.

6.Data sharing

No data is shared with Max Control or with any third party.

The application supports one user-initiated transfer: a tuning configuration may be rendered as a QR code on one device and read by the camera of another. That transfer is optical, device to device, and requires both devices to be physically present. It carries configuration data only, as specified in section 5. No copy reaches Max Control, any server, or any third party.

7.Third-party services

None. The application integrates no analytics, advertising, attribution, crash-reporting, or other third-party service, and contains no software development kit that performs such functions.

8.Age of users

Max Control Tuner is a general-audience utility. It is not designed for or marketed to children.

This is a statement of intended audience, not a restriction on use. The application may be used by anyone, including children, and this carries no privacy consequence: it collects no data from any user, and therefore collects no personal information from a child.

9.Changes to this policy

Any change to the terms above takes effect only after this policy has been updated. The change will be stated in the release notes of the version that introduces it.
